This is a self-led online CPD course, offering the flexibility to complete it in your own time.

The course price is £450.

This course is designed to:

– Enhance your knowledge and skills in assessing, diagnosing, and treating midfoot and rearfoot pathologies, with an emphasis on the role of foot orthotics in the management of these conditions.

– Discuss the theory and orthotic management of the most common midfoot, medial ankle, lateral ankle and rearfoot conditions.

– Provide a great opportunity to deepen your understanding of the complexities of these common conditions to improve your clinical practice.

Key Learning outcomes

  • Modern biomechanical theory
  • How the foot gets its stability
  • Rotational equilibrium
  • Standing and non-weight bearing subtalar joint axis palpation
  • Importance of the subtalar joint axis
  • The clinical assessment and management of medially and laterally deviated subtalar joint axis
  • The clinical assessment and management of medial (inside) ankle pain

Key Learning outcomes

  • The clinical assessment and management of the progressive collapsing foot deformity
  • The clinical assessment of tibialis posterior and peroneal tendons
  • Supination resistance test
  • The clinical assessment and management of the heel pain
  • The clinical assessment and management of lateral (outside) ankle pain
  • Key orthotic designs used in rearfoot and midfoot conditions
